From 4 to 6 November 2026, the 14th European Registrars Conference (ERC26) will take place in Berlin. Under the theme “Culture Connects”, registrars and museum professionals from across Europe will come together to exchange expertise and discuss current developments in the field. Our Managing Director, Silke Krummel, will open the first conference day with a keynote address.

The conference will be held at KOSMOS, once the most modern cinema in the former GDR. Around 65 speakers from Germany and abroad will contribute their expertise through presentations and panel discussions. The programme will focus on the day-to-day work of registrars and explore how digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming the profession.

In her keynote, “Culture Connects: A Case for Curiosity and Courage”, on 5 November, Silke Krummel will expand on the conference theme. She will discuss why cross-border collaboration is more important than ever and how the work of registrars contributes to the internationalisation of cultural institutions.

ERC26 is already fully booked. For the latest programme updates and information on the speakers, please visit the conference channels.
